Welcome

A very warm welcome to Thrumpton Primary School.

Thrumpton is a friendly school focused on teaching and learning and supporting every child in achieving the best that they can. We are fortunate to have a wonderful school building which benefits from natural light and well defined spaces including a dedicated Foundation Unit and wrap around care provision. The building is set within very spacious grounds which include two playgrounds, trim trail and climbing frame and a wildlife area and pond.
Children learn effectively when they are happy, safe and secure therefore all staff are committed to supporting pupils and their families to ensure children are ready and able to learn. We aim to ensure that children’s learning experience is relevant, exciting and purposeful and underpinned by the rigorous development of basic skills. Throughout the year, we provide a range of after school, lunchtime and holiday opportunities run by staff and external providers.
Our school is full of very talented youngsters and we promote sport and have a particular strength in the expressive arts of music and drama. Our productions are wonderful!
Parents are the child’s first educators and it is very important to us to work in partnership with you. We aim to keep you informed about your child’s education and progress and try to provide many opportunities for you to get involved in whatever way you can. We are open to comments and suggestions and you are always welcome to speak to members of staff at any point.

We hope you enjoy browsing our website and that you find any information you are looking for. However, if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact the school direct. Parents and prospective parents are always very welcome to visit.
